Re: [Skunkworks] Right under our noses.

Alex, Errrmm...
I think we need a Tuesday talk on "communicating with government":-)
Does the Govt ever listen? I mean, some ideas and opinions just die along the Red-tape process.......i could be wrong. -tyrus _IEEE Member -- Click to get kitchen cabinets at affordable prices. http://tagline.hushmail.com/fc/BLSrjkqfY0n2Fx2poUfQXiMVNWfe9vOxmDrQHZFTzNbqD...

LOL! To prove they do, they lurk on like *all* mailing lists.. My talk was motivated by something John Michuki once said, "You can either choose to talk with, to, or against government." Some of the things we say only serve to further isolate-to-exclude us from beneficial government engagement. Then 'clever ones' stealthily sneak behind making deliciously sweet proposals to government and they get great contracts. In any case, why would a government official value subsequent opinions from already opinionated guys? Tuesday's idea was to share on discoveries circumventing red-tapes, processes, etc. and identifying and dodging hostile (including smelly corrupt) gova circles :-) That's all folks. There was an article on a past Fortune magazine(i think) on a plan to harness the solar power in the Sahara dessert. The most interesting thing is that the article went on and on on how the Sahara dessert is big enough to produce power for ..... EUROPEAN UNION!!!! I know it could be the way out of poverty for those countries, but im not sure Chad ,Mali and all those other countries on the Sahara will benefit. Take oil in Nigeria as a case in point.... -- Sent from my Watch© Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
