Hi, I need some help with this laptop. It gives a "Battery Memory" error on startup and then windows fails to load - seems like some system files are corrupt. Anyone who can help? Hey @Brian, Pls check these : 1) Are you able to use the F8 menu at all upon bootup? If yes, were you able to go into safe mode? 2) Are you able to go into Bios? 3) Have you removed the battery and booted the laptop on main power? Some feed back will help. Rgds. Had the same issue with my DV6000 some time back. I tried removing the battery, then holding the power switch in for about 10 sec, and it worked once. The next time it happened, didn't work until I opened up the machine and reseated the RAM. BTW do you have a system restore disc for it?
