Wallace, I can answer you on this. Some technologies are patented, which basically means some manufacturers buy components from the patent owners. I am not saying who owns the patents, but I can tell you that the screens are patented by one company. Now that that is clear, we are down to just what features you need: How many HDMI ports, picture-in-picture, whether the audio ports (are they called RCA ports) on the device can be used as input only or both input and output, picture quality enhancement (they call it motion flow), and a few "madoidos". At the end of the day, those will confuse you more than they actually enlighten you, but that's just how these devices are marketed. A few months back, I wanted an LCD (HDTV, not HD-Ready) and I had to make a choice about which manufacturer to go with. At the end of the day, I went with LG. Samsung and Sony do have bells and whistles, but I still chose LG because of several factors - which are dependent on me, so I do not have to pass those to you, because I don't think they are very likely to influence your choice at the 32" bracket. Do I sound irrelevant?:-) I'll vote for the LG 32" -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler. There is an LG LCD (plasma) that has a refresh rate of 600 Hz --- apparently this rate is comfortable to the eyes and enables one to watch for longer (so the saying goes) Has 5 star energy rating - some award Wangari Maathai wud be proud of.. Plus LGs are generally cheaper? You could give this a try.
