Greetings, Problem: 1. HP DL380 Gen9 crashed after a power outage, server could not boot into the OS. 2. Server boots a CentOS live disk but cannot mount the hard disks although they are healthy. 3. The BIOS setup is currently on RAID1. Query, The HDDs in question are HP 1TB 6G SAS 7.2k rpm SFF 2.5inch Part Number 652749-B21. I'm hopeful to recover the data contained within. Any ideas or pointers? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, -- Lusiola Brian |3 R 1 /-\ |\|

Can you boot into* Intelligent Provisioning [F10]> Perform Maintenance> HP Smart Storage Administrator* and check status of the Array Controller? HP Gen9 servers tend to require an array controller for the SAS disks, I suspect that could be the issue. Also within Intelligent Provisioning, there are tools to check any issues- *Insight Diagnostics* to run tests on the server components, there should be an *Integrated Management Log* that should have the logs for any events.
