Android is top smartphone OS in the US, iOS is a close second

My iPhone has been disappointing me more and more,,, but battery can last 48-72 hours if not too busy. The touch face and graphic unmatched ! The X10 has a knack of hanging in the middle of pressing the touch surface - not cool when you are in a hurry... battery lasts only a day tops - even when the phone is just lying there.. But has many free cool android apps. Where to go ?

Some weeks back I had a choice between the X10 and the Milestone...IMO the latter is better. Upgraded it to a CFW 2.2.1 (Froyo)...the UI is pretty fast and the juice lasts about 2 days for me...however, YMMV

ZTE Blade Runs stock Android - none of those crappy UIs that are notorious for not been tested and introducing bugs. has a crystal clear display (pen tile matrix technology also used in the Google Nexus S phone) and battery can last more than 2 days under light usage. Be warned of a poor camera in dark areas and browsing/video drains the battery fast - manufacturer says battery has lower time than IDEOS though it outlasts it

Samsung Galaxy S at I think 43k (~500$) from Safaricom. Quite fair, considering that it retails at 439-479$ on amazon.com<http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_16?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=samsung+galaxy+s&sprefix=samsung+galaxy+s>without shipping. Spec' wise Nexus one, Galaxy S and HTC Desire are close relatives. -- Josiah Mugambi On Wed, Jun 1, 2011 at 5:51 PM, <dhikims@gmail.com> wrote:
