In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below: *Network Management Centre (NMC) Shift Technician* *REF: A**NO – NMCST – Aug 09* Within the Access Network Operations Department, the position Network Management Centre (NMC) Shift Technician will be responsible for monitoring the GSM Network Functionality and management of site access. *Key Responsibilities* - Monitoring the functionality of the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) network; - Performing first line maintenance, tests and diagnosis of faults; - Ensuring proper site access management (Security); - Ensuring escalation of faults and maintaining records of the same; - Providing technical solutions to escalated subscriber issues from Customer Management department e.g. sim replacement, bar/unbar; - Providing network updates via mail, SMS broadcast and phone. *Minimum requirements* - A degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Telecoms Engineering from a recognized institution; - Basic understanding of PDH, SDH and microwave systems; - A team player with proven organizational skills and the ability to achieve results in a team; - Good communication and interpersonal skills; - Well-developed analytical skills; - Computer literate in MS Office applications and UNIX. *If you feel that you are up to the challenge and posses the necessary qualification and experience please send your resume with your cell phone contact indicating your experience and why you are the most suitable candidate for the role clearly quoting the job title and reference to the address below.
