Assistant NOC engineer Position

Looking for a Level 2 Network Operations Engineer (NOC) to monitor, support and troubleshoot network related issues in a large customer centric 100% up-time required Network. Candidate is required to work in a 24/7 operations environment and must understand Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocol communications, as well as have the ability to troubleshoot, follow procedures, and document issues where required. Main responsibilities: 1- Review, assess and action customer requests and incident tickets created by the Level 1 NOC. 2- Configure network routers, switches, transmission equipment and support devices as per standard procedures or as directed by Level 3 and Operations Engineers. 3- Monitor network status and troubleshoot issues related to the network infrastructure, hardware and applications. 4- Create and update trouble tickets as required by standard procedures. 5- Provide on call support for out of office hours. 6- Assist with escalations as requested by Management. Skills 1- Educated to a level sufficient to demonstrate competency in the main responsibilities detailed above. 2- Good technical and problem-solving skills 3- Ability to follow NOC instructions and processes as well as contribute to the objectives of Network Operations 4- Team player, self motivator, with excellent oral and written communication skills 5.
