It’s bad enough that there are so many job seekers out there in Keny a, but now, even fraudsters are using the internet to fleece Kenyans of money in the promise of jobs.
My friend had been directed to the following site, http://www.eabl.page4.me/ that purports to be the Careers Site for EABL. They list vacant positions along with the amounts of money that one can expect to be paid; however, the thing that should set off an alarm is the following;
Applicants to send their CV's to the Group Human Resource Director, Washington Akumu (+254 724509033) through this email address; eablinfo@eabl.com Application fees of Kshs: 5,500 refundable during interview period Application Fees to be paid by M-Pesa - 0727 725 675 or 0724 509 033 or 0720 992 008
I believe that EABL should do something to shut down such unscrupulous people, but we can also just be careful when looking out there.

@Wash, I pray to God that's not you. Just kidding.

The guy they are saying is the Group HR Director Washington Akumu is actually a veteran business journalist and is the Communications Manager at Safaricom. He tells me the CID is dealing with the matter On Thu, Jan 13, 2011 at 9:31 AM, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:
