OT - New traffic rules

For you information as well as worries! Just how is legistration done? PSV operators: Should adhere to the uniforms and Michuki rules (What was Raila bakering about?) Unfastened seat belt - Fine Kshs. 500/= (whose responsibilty to ensure worthiness of seat belts, some don't even have let alone being dirty?) Never allow a police officer to take the keys of your car from the ignition – this is illegal. (Once was a victim of this and the cops threatened me with resisting arrest when I refused!) ./TheMburu -- Conservatism is the adherence to the old tried against the new untried.

I think they should add 'death sentence' as a choice for 'life imprisonment'; because seriously, whats the point of serving life when a pedestrian jumps on the road like a jack-rabbit on a non pedestrian highway ?

A life sentence is never a death sentence, since you can still get presidential pardon on good behaviour ./Ok3ch On Fri, Jul 20, 2012 at 6:49 PM, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com> wrote:

A lawyer I spoke to about this issue said equating causing death by dangerous driving to murder is probably unconstitutional. Murder should be reserved for premeditated killing - hence the reason quite a few murder cases end up with charges reduced to manslaughter when it's not possible to prove the action was premeditated. According to him this shows the inadequacy of our MPigs when it comes to passing laws. Last I heard of it there was to be a constitutional application regarding this - I think by the LSK.
