Finally, after months of marketers selling LTE and Wimax as 4G, the engineers have decided that these two do not make it to the definition of 4G. Well, the marketers have said this will have no effect on their marketing. http://www.cio.co.ke/view-all-top-stories/2103-4g-defined-wimax-and-lte-dont... -- with Regards: Cunning Nairobi Hawkers http://gramware.blogspot.com/2010/10/nairobi-hawkers-and-fraud.html

Things go wrong marketers start to play around with tech specs and stuff, recently CellC (I think) in SA were recently ordered by the advertising regulatory board there to abandon some campaign where they were offering 4G dongles to customers while it indeed wasnt. Techies have no understanding of business or market preference would never trust them to go to market with any product. Am having a very sincere day. Kiania D On 10/25/10, Jonas | Lamu Software <jonas@lamusoftware.com> wrote:

LTE is a standard just like UMTS,HSPDA, HSPA. Its is advocated for by the 3GPP organisation. What i'm saying therefore is has a standard for 3G transitional and 4G so depending on what the operator is installing it may be 3.75g or maybe 4G. The same can be said of mobile wimax so depending on what people are installing they might be 4G. This is the problem of not having engineers in ur marketting team On Tue, Oct 26, 2010 at 9:34 AM, Jonas | Lamu Software < jonas@lamusoftware.com> wrote:
