Hello Virginia, Please try at least to sell yourself. Put some seriousness into what you do. You can do that by: 1. Starting a new thread, not hijacking an existing one! By that, I mean a new e-mail with a better subject line. 2. Posting your CV, because diploma in IT on it's own is rather irrelevant - does not say what you can do! 3. Post as if you are applying for the job/internship, because the folks who read this can determine whether or not you get it - I'm sure you believe that, for that is why you made this attempt. Just my small advise. On Sat, Dec 15, 2012 at 1:12 PM, Virgy Ken <virgyken@yahoo.com> wrote:

Why are we being hard on Virginia? The other day we were doing "xawa" with some other chap here, its the generation pals, these guys have known only texting in the 20 or so years they've been on mother earth, I mean, a text message has no subject line, hope im right. I remember while growing up we would write letter after letter, each revision a better revision than the last, the very last being read by a friend aloud to make sure the suitor will be very impressed by the contents. Of course the suitor would share the letter with friends, it was a memorable once a term encounter, and the letter remained the magic wand! All this romance has been lost by Facebook and SMS's. No romance even in job seeking. The employer sees no substance in the application letters he receives week in week out, some are even written with the help of consultants - or plagiarized from the world wide web. That is it, and we'll have to live with it - a new generation is in town and we'll have to live with it. My word. Peter

Peter, Put aside the nostalgia of before. Things change, but there are certain aspects that do not change - like the one we're on with Virginia, otherwise we'd not be having job adverts in the papers or online asking for cover letters and CVs. Anyway, good luck to Virginia if this is how the next generation jobs/internships are gonna be secured/found:) On Sat, Dec 15, 2012 at 2:53 PM, Peter Osotsi <peter.osotsi@gmail.com>wrote:

On a lighter note wash, I think someone will have to invest in career coaching for these guys, coz seriously, I cannot employ such a person in my firm, unless they are dealing with youth mtaani.
