Hi, If you have the Authorisation code, it is *instant!*. Typical process: If you are the *owner *of the domain name ( as listed in the *registrant *details), ask your current registrar through email / ticket to give it to you. If it is for your client, ask them to put the request in writing using his/her company letter head , send it to you and the current registrar Hope this helps Regards Wycliffe On Thu, May 19, 2011 at 1:13 PM, James Mutuku <listmutuku@gmail.com> wrote:

It takes "no time". By that I mean a few hours, less than 1 day. 1. You notify registrar2 of your intention to transfer the domain to them:) You sign the agreement, etc. 2. You clear ALL outstanding with registrar1 and tell them to transfer the domain to registrar2 3. Registrar1 one proceeds to login to the registry and changes the Admin Handle for the domain to that of registrar2 and commits. 4. Transfer Done! 5. Registrar2 does the rest of what is required to get the domain functional. This step 5 is something the registrars need to consult on and accomplish even before step 3, in order to ensure that transfer does not affect services - normally DNS matters. Yours sincerely, A former registrar. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler. Please consider the environment before printing this email.

a few seconds , the owning registrar needs to update some values to the new registrar if any registrar is giving you grief just resend the request and cc kenic, Big brother knows best. On Thu, May 19, 2011 at 1:13 PM, James Mutuku <listmutuku@gmail.com> wrote:
