Skunks, I am facing a weird issue with a certain site. While using LAN and WIFI the site doesn't load, but when you change to modem/dongle it loads without any hitch. I can still navigate other sites except this one, trace route and ping works successfully. I ruled out this reason as follows: 1. Network, I can load other sites, and the outage is intermittent. 2. Overload on server-the site loads on dongle, and guys out side our network can still access it. 3. Machine error- it happens on more than one device, including mobile Has anyone ever seen this? -- Regards K ip , J2EE Developer. There's likely to be downstream devices on the network that are filtering the traffic On 10 Jan 2014 10:46, "Hosea Kandie" <zeddarn@gmail.com> wrote:

HI contact the host of the site probably they are blocking your public IP from access. Give them your public IP and you can get that from http://whatismyip.com I am 99% sure that is the cause. On Fri, Jan 10, 2014 at 10:52 AM, Anthony Lenya <tlensya@gmail.com> wrote:

When you use WiFi or LAN and when you use a modem dongle, got to www.whatismyip.com. See if the IP address is the same in both cases... only then can you start comparing apples and apples. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 "I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler."

Reading the line above ^^^ am assuming these are 2 different network/providers. If that be the case, do a trace and paste here. Also check www.ipchicken.com, get the IP. After that we will check for you the BGP internet table and ascertain if the subnet provided by your ISP is propagating properly. If above isnt true, then a filter or null route is applied somewhere along the hops/routers/firewall towards the same site./IP Kind Regards, Wilson./

Not to be petty but I think Hosea has a problem with the word "network". Seeing that in this post it is "Ntework" and on another thread, "Netework" . Ok. Maybe am petty :) Nice weekend! On Fri, Jan 10, 2014 at 1:42 PM, Thuo Wilson <lixton@gmail.com> wrote:
