Hello, BBC holding an event in Nairobi on 3-4th Feb with the objective of creating ideas to grow the BBC reach in Africa to young audiences through digital means. Some of these ideas will be selected to build a funded pilot service over the following 6 months, which will be tested with real audiences. This piloting process will receive up to £25k ($39k) per team in funding support. We've targeted some of the tech hubs in Nairobi to spread the word to their communities as well as other press routes and social media but every little helps. The registrations are coming in slowly so we're looking for opportunities to get the word to the developer community that we may not have covered. If you could help, that would be ace! Here is some more information about the challenge and the event and how people get involved: http://bit.ly/1wL18re http://bbc.in/1ym1U06 -- Stephen Wanjau Tel:+254 722 238 165 | Skype ID: mana.nas | Twitter ID: uwanja <http://www.twitter.com/uwanja> | *It is within reach.
