OpenSource Enterprise Resource Planning systems in Kenya

I've observed that a good number of medium sized and large retail outlets are not very keen on embracing robust ERP solutions, simply because they are either too comfortable with the outdated systems they currently use or fear the drawbacks involved in migrating to a new system. I'm working on Ofbiz/Opentaps right now and with my experience in business systems(open source and commercial), this could be the next big thing for open source developers, it already is in the US. Anyone interested in a system that handles finance, Inventory and warehouse management, supply chain/purchasing automation and customer relationship management - all in one, please contact me offlist.

Not restricted to Kenya, but the whole East and central African region. On 1/10/11, Patrick Kariuki <patrick.kariuki@gmail.com> wrote:

How do you does this solution compare with A1ERP, OpenBravo, Adempiere or even OpenERP? In other words, why OpenTaps? On Mon, Jan 10, 2011 at 4:59 PM, Patrick Kariuki <patrick.kariuki@gmail.com>wrote:
