Hi, I plan to start learning android developing. Been reading the O'reilly Learning Android. What is the recommended entry level android phone once can use to test the apps. Preferably running on version 3.0 and above. Rgds -- Regards http://www.software.co.ke

Android version 3.0 is meant for Tablets only, Android 2.2 is the most popular and most apps for this will be forward compatible (run with newer versions). So get the infamous IDEOS and you are good, anything running on it will run on most Android phones

Alternatively, you may use Android simulators like this one: http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/emulator.html I would use a simulator first rather than breaking a real phone.Once you are good at simulator, you may venture into a real device. ./bernard On Mon, Aug 15, 2011 at 2:06 PM, Dennis Kioko <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:
