Linux versus Windows Servers

I'm looking for a website that compares Linux and Windows server performance. I've googled and come across some stuff but that didn't address my issue. The data that I came across compared both OS at a high level i.e file sharing, ... I'm more interested in how the manage loads. So far my research shows Windows out-does Linux significantly. Thanks.

Google terms: mark russinovich background, windows internals, sysinternals, unix, msdn channel 9 Mark Russinovich (Phd) is an OS Kernel expert who figured out how Windows works (Sysinternals) without the source code. It was more profitable than his beloved Unix .. Now he is a Microsoft Fellow. If Msdn Channel 9 videos featuring him are too large, will show some of them in public soon - b4 the end of the year if Mwo & Co. does not. Wesley, I think you are doing a great research that can earn you money... it would be good to also look (Multi-Path IO) MPIO and storage especially iSCSI SAN for High Availability in the server OS you are looking at. regards, On Sun, Aug 9, 2009 at 7:51 AM, wesley kiriinya <kiriinya2000@yahoo.com>wrote:

Sema roy. Do you have oem win 7 still. Just read some good reviews on the net. Also, what is the expected retail price when they ship later this year? On 8/9/09, Paul Roy <roykoikai@gmail.com> wrote:

@Areba, this might give you a good idea how the pricing will be like: http://store.microsoft.com/microsoft/Windows-Windows-7/category/102 Just happened to be shopping for it myself. On Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 9:35 AM, Areba Collins <arebacollins@gmail.com>wrote:

From netcraft.com year in year out - Windows runs 23% of all webservers while the rest are UNIX and UNIX-variants - that should tell you something about server performance.
