Greetings Everyone, I am faced with the challenge of opting for either simple or full recover model. I have read on sites that Full mode is much safer when a Database failure occurs essentially because transaction log files are maintained. Unlike simple mode, which allows you to shrink log files and incase of a Database failure or DB is corrupted then you will have to rely on your last Database backup. I welcome your views on how you tackle this since on my side I would like to keep the transaction log files size very small i.e less than 100MB. Thanks a lot Rad! for your suggestion, but my worry is that if the log file keeps on growing to the size of GB, it might affect the performance of the Application especially where the application accesses the Database on a high frequency... Pliz coment on this...Since on what I read, if the recovery model is FULL you cannot shrink the log files..... Am doing fine William, I must admit its good hearing from you. If your log file is growing abnormally you might have some application level issues like uncommitted transactions contributing to that growth.
