It will help if you are self-driven (!) and innovative. Those interested may send me their CVs or applications offlist, on my address. Thank you.

Hi Evans, I hope you're having a happy new year. I've been in the US for sometime and, due to some issues, I still don't know whether I'll be back in a few weeks, or whether I'll be here for the next couple of years. I really needed LPA to conduct a programming competition this year - and my uncertain situation does not help. Do you have any ideas to this end? I have some ideas: - we should focus on Secondary Schools & Colleges - and maybe Universities too - we will create panels to (a) prepare and (b) judge the different contests - contests will be distributed into several categories --- Contents (Web & Graphics) --- Infrastructure ( applications that enable others ) --- Mobile Solutions --- Strategy & Speed (speediest solutions to tough problems) --- Commercial applications There are several aspects to this: - Planning --- deciding venue, date, theme - business aspect --- getting sponsors etc - Social aspect --- wooing competitors and school / department heads We need to get moving before students break for April Holidays - if we hope to conduct the contest week at the end of August holidays. These are random thoughts that I think can be built upon. I'll let you know of my personal plans as they unravel, but, if I can't make it in the next 1-2 months, I'll have to resign my position in LPA and provide as much support as I can from here. Regards - and Happy New Year (I know it's belated :) Bernard ________________________________ From: Evans Ikua <ikua.evans@gmail.com> To: skunkworks@my.co.ke Sent: Tue, February 16, 2010 12:49:26 AM Subject: [Skunkworks] Internship opportunity LANet Consulting has opportunities for two Networking Interns. Dear Listers, Kindly ignore my previous emails with the above subject. It was personal communication that was sent in a hurry and got misaddressed. My deepest apologies. Bernard
