has any of you had serious issues with the latest set of kernels that ubuntu and their variants package? seems anything from .32 completely unstable especially with intel graphics cards. im getting a third complaint about exactly the same issue, freezing, blinking with vertical lines on the screen and sometimes just going off. anyone? -- Posted on 100% recycled electrons

i had ubuntu 10.4 on a 64-bit machine. it seemed as if something was always the matter and i was caught up in incessant reboot cycles. i got fed up, switched to fedora 13, also 64-bit, and my life has been peaceful 2010/7/26 [ Brainiac ] <arebacollins@gmail.com>

Amanya, can you take up the thread on Fedora 13 and maybe talk a little about Fedora 13? Possible ama too difficult? Personally I'd like to know more about Fedora, what it does, interface, installation, hardware requirements. Rgds. On Tue, Jul 27, 2010 at 8:41 AM, amanya <whynnot@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi, Wireless doesn't work for me on Ubuntu 10.04. Used to work on the previous release. Kyalo On 27 July 2010 09:05, aki <aki275@googlemail.com> wrote:

So, I'm running Ubuntu 10.4 LTS (Lucid Lynx) on a Compaq nc6400 and it only sees 3.3GB of my 4GB of RAM. At first I was running a 32bit version using PAE and this didn't work. Then I switched to the 64bit version and I still get the same result. Big bummer :-(. Any suggestions guys? Your memory hardware could be faulty Nicholas, what does "cat /proc/meminfo" yield? ˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙ 'spɹɐƃǝɹ ıʞnɾu pıʌɐp

I have also had some issue with this version of ubuntu, i could not get the wireless drivers to work out of the box, the ubuntu forums helped me out with this. ˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙ 'spɹɐƃǝɹ ıʞnɾu pıʌɐp
