how to password protect a folder in windows XP
Skunks has anyone of you ever found a free software that can password protect a folder without compressing it....i have only found commercial ones which are not very helpful..suggestions will be highly appreciated

Hey Saich you can use encryption instead of password to protect folders and it is provided for free with Windows XP. Kindly use the EFS (Encryption File System) by simply right clicking on the folder and going to properties and switching on the EFS on that folder. The folder name will appear in colour blue and all the contents will be encrypted, which means no one can delete the folder as well.
