It's pathetic, but just try and understand these people....Note that these engineers are the same guys who only recognize road builders as the only engineers in Kenya. To say the least they are old guys, technology illiterate and therefore they don't really comprehend the idea of, say a software engineer, biotechnologist, web developer, etc... or such arcane sounding things. The problem is guys who are complacent in keeping with their status quo and relishing in their 20 year old PHDs. When was the last time you heard a Kenyan University Engineering Prof has (in conjunction with student researchers) come up with some new tech or solution? I only hear of one Kamau gachigi who seems to be in touch with real world problems. They just give lectures and walk off. . .
