I am wondering the viability of a service where you can get travellers to carry electronics in their hand luggage hence avoid the whole tax thing. there must be alot of travellers between the US and here weekly. So talked to Salihiya <http://africansalihiya.com> and they say they charge a minimum 25kg at $10 per kg for shipping. So if we can get a bunch of guys who want devices and order through Salihiya we can split the shipping cost, the more the better. Any takers? @Alex, cool idea. Have you ever shipped anything before with Salihiya<http://africansalihiya.com/>? How reliable are they and how long does it take them to get stuff here? I have already ordered mine (through a friend in the US) and I normally ship with USPS. Usually it takes not more than 7 days to get it delivered. Once your device arrives, a guy at the post office will call and ask you to arm your self with IDF. They say it's 5k, but if you are a hard bargainer like me, they will accept something between 2,500 and 3k. If you add up the costs for the 16GB ($249 + US tax approx. $23 + shipping cost $33 + say 3k IDF) you'll spend something in the neighbourhood of 29k, which in my opinion isn't a bad bargain for an awesome device like N4, right?
