Good people, I came across this DIY tutorial (http://benstechcents.blogspot.com/2008/05/tracking-stolen-macbook.html) on tracking a stolen macbook, anyone willing to lend his/her mac for the experiment? Thinking like a dumb thief, to get the above method to work, your mac needs to NOT have a boot password, it needs to NOT have a OS password, so that the dumb thief will just open it, turn it on and just start using it, then later he/she will then connect to the internet and voila, the trap will start working. But then, it is a bad idea not to have a boot or OS password...
