
Still sounds fishy to me, too expensive to think about 128bit address spaces. You'd need considerable amount of resources to allocate word sizes of 128bits across the board. 64bit address spaces can already well handle the surplus of RAM which. Furthermore hardware is yet to catch up to the limits of 64bit. Most software today is still adequate in 32bit mode. For example, this email that am writing. There is no sense for it to be in 64bit other than the fact it will be use up more ram. Unless Windows 8 plans to move away from home computing then there is no way Ms can focus on 128bit seing it will most likely only make sense with scientific simulations and computations with EXTREMELY large datasets.
