What are his achievements in this regard?something consumers can relate with. I remember back in the days when Mucheru was chairman of tespok....they fought for the industry but the approach was very professional, very engaging and consultative and they were lobbying the government for the better of everyone, and collectively they achieved alot,to give the 2nd Telecommunication liberation The 3rd liberation in Telecommunication has been achieved as well through professionalism, engagement and not court cases. I have lots of respect for Alex Gakuru but I disagree with his approach,as much as he claims to represent the consumers,he should treat the players with respect and engage them, and get industry wide benefits for everyone, otherwise he will be alone ranger. I agree with McDonald. Rather than sane tackling of issues ailing the telecommunications sector, we have been seeing what appears to be persecution of the incumbent (possibly underhand tactics of one of the players) . The sad thing is that we have all been cheering along. Preliminary reports have shown that all operators have had issues with MNP going as far as CCK forming arbitration commissions in a bid to reconcile players. It's quite sad that of all issues that plague subscribers, we picked on MNP in disregard of the red flags raised by some operators on it's implementation process.

The thorniest issue I have with Mobile Service Provider Safaricom is their systematic THIEVING of credit from their subscribers in minute, yet significant amounts. So many people have reported 20, 50, 100 bob amounts just being subtracted willy-nilly from their phones. I think this would be a case worth pursuing. The hard part is proving they have been stealing, but I believe witnesses would not be hard to come by. Who's with me?

@David... lol..Kwani Alex Gakuru is just like Makmende... Personally I think there are other people who have quietly and tirelessly play a bigger role in pushing the industry forward...e.g. Brian Longwe or Muriuki Mureithi... and so on. On 5/30/11, Webmaster <webmaster@kenyanlyrics.com> wrote:
