@Erick, thanks for sharing. The app from Makerere really was above and deserved an acknowledgement but am not surprised that it did not make it. That app is years ahead. Sad day indeed that other pitched ideas did not make it to winners list. No way would other people who pitched in ideas and preparation, especially the younger generations would have made it past the well established. How does any event pitch starters with established on the same venue platform? IMHO, we are slowly losing credibility each day when we do such things. MedKenya is a professional concept and has been setup as a business therefore it should have been a pitch for bigger developer events where the rules of competition are evenly balanced on a level playing field with other developer companies who would give them some competition. Poolay sana to all the other people who pitched in but did not make it. Maybe next event. These are my amatuer thots. :-) Over and Out.
