Job, Still no answers. I don't know why it seems I am always pitching for KDN but hey.... I believe that on a 3.5 wimax you would be able to get a signal from NSSF & if that doesn't work there is always a BTS @ Athi River or Kitengela.
From past experience, there was link just before mlolongo behind astrol to the NSSF BTS. But if you are not willing to put up a mast, then pole. I have not have answered your original query of the point to point solution, i.e I don't know anyone who is selling this connectivity in the area but HTHs. All the best.

@Brian. Kdn guys came to do a site survey and we hoped we could get a signal from NSSF building but with no avail. Funny thing is that Nation building off Mombasa road has a kdn link but we couldn't get a signal. Though those guys doing the survey didn't seem to grasp the issue well. Its only AK who had a weak signal and said it would give poor service. @Kigunda I have called Njagi and told me he will get back to me asap. Thanks.

@Job, if all esle fails, you may consider a Sat DVB return with GPRS outbound modem. Costs will seem high but if you are anywhere near the new developements coming up in the area ( I see the development stuff in the papers ) you could re-distruibute your signal to these units later. Or vice versa. Possible?

Have you tried Telkom Kenya? TKL's coverage is better. rds frank On Mon, Nov 16, 2009 at 3:43 PM, aki <aki275@googlemail.com> wrote:
