ICT Postgraduate Research Projects from UoN
Good people, I just came across this stash http://www.uonbi.ac.ke/faculties/postgrad-student-projects.php?fac_code=52, found some of them rather interesting. It has been my perception that most of the projects done in Universities are not reflective of the day to day problems experienced by people and organizations, and that few, if any, solve the problems currently facing the country. I hope to be proven wrong.
It depends on the Course/Department.
From what I see in the link; the research looks pretty relevant.
Try looking at the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department project (if at all they have ever gone Internet like the Computer Science - which I doubt) Still stuck in the pre-70s technologies - with very rigid move towards modern electronics/computing - mostly because the professors are comfortable teaching this 'old concepts and programming languages' and a move to updated applications would threaten their jobs.
