Guys, Which of the two Frameworks do you think is most efficient? i develop in codeigniter and recently argued in it's favor.

Hi Felix, Yii has a genial architecture, PDO based SQL management, security, JQuery, great documentation etc. Code Igniter is pretty basic and good for beginners. Yii is good for PHP developers who have a good understanding of OO and eases development. That link uses a really old version of CI, 1.5.4 while the current version is 2.0.1. @Felix, I would argue that for a good developer, it doesn't really matter what framework you use, it is the skill with which you use it :-) If you have the time, why don't you try both on the same project and see how it goes?

Codeigniter - if you want more control over your code. If you are working on a huge project, you will sometimes need to get to the bottom of things. CI, as simple as Brian points out that it is, allows to do that better.
