I am running Windows XP SP3 and automatic updates are enabled. Once in a while I do check NComputing website for updated software and firmware for the devices and update those. I am running 4 on an WindowsXP PC with 4GB RAM (well, 3.5GB visible since it's 32-bit), Inter Core 2 Quad CPU and I've never had problems. I must mention that I am using the L300 serie, not the X serie. The former links up to the host PC via the LAN and as such the placement is only limited to the restrictions on length of CAT5 or CAT6 specifications while the later uses a card on the host PC and IIRC, connecting cable cannot exceed 10m in length (verify this on the website). You did not specify the series you wanted to know about, hence my long uncalled for response:-)
