Gentlemen & Ladies, Unless it's just me, the sales offers and advertising is growing at a rate that will soon eclipse the original rationale for this list. I would like to make a modest proposal. Can people advertising/pitching to sell stuff please tag the posts with [Advertisement] e,g, Subject: [Advertisement] Snake Oil 2009 This way those of us with *ZERO *interest in buying stuff can create filters as appropriate
Related to this, It would be a good idea also to find what people think consist a reasonable list dos/do nots - there's a few ideas out there but it would be useful to get additional feedback. Hear hear. To set the ball rolling, over and above my first point 2) Guys should not re-post entire digests with their replies. Complete waste of bandwith and v cumbersome for guys surfing on phones 3) Absolutely redundant people sending mail saying 'check your mail'. If you are advertising something - then put the price.
