The advantage for me (being an Apple Fanboy) is that I can find a video on my iPad (or mac laptop or any Apple device) via Youtube, vimeo, BuniTV or whatever and then have that video display instead on the TV, wirelessly and without a hassle (it just works). Airplay is pretty cool.
