Lan is fine but Wan is not working.

Hi skunks I need your help!! I currently use my neighbor's zuku internet. A cable runs from his router to our router which is a TP-LINK WR70N2. Recently the Wi-Fi from my router has not been working the internet connection has been limited but when I plug in the cable directly to my PC the internet is fine. I've tried a lot of solutions from online but nothing seems to work. Please wise skunks I desperately need your help.

Hi John, Not sure you should have posted that where Zuku is watching.... :) However, I also have the same problem. LAN is fine but wireless works for a few minutes then stops. Comp still shows connected but there is zero network traffic. I have asked Zuku customer care about it but getting this past their thick heads is too much for me. They don't understand the concept of laptop connected over wifi but no data traffic. In the very next communcation from them they always say "wifi not working" like its dead completely and some say internet not working. Gormless twits. I've given up. If you get anywhere, let me know. John, Login to you TP-LINK check Wan port if it's acquiring ip from the zuku router, if not ensure you Lan ip is of different subnet from zuku's, if that's ok then try putting a static ip on your router. Good luck. @Brian you didn't specify your router On 24/02/2015 12:36 am, "Brian Ngure via skunkworks" < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

Maybe your neighbor's router is blocking your router's mac address. How is the IP addressing configured btn the two routers? DHCP or Static? The way i see it, this has probably nothing to do with zuku. On Feb 23, 2015 11:43 PM, "Brian Ngure via skunkworks" < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

This means a few things: 1. You are not connecting the cable from your neighbor into your WAN port :) 2. Your WAN port is misconfigured. 3. Your LAN side IP subnet is the same class as your neighbor's router LAN side, and your WAN is set on DHCP Well, tell us how you have configured your router. Also tell us the output of ifconfig/ipconfig when your laptop is connected and working and we can easily figure this out instead of guessing. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 "I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler."

What wise solutions have you tried? Have you tried another wireless router. Does the router have lam ports and what do you get when you connect to that?? On Feb 23, 2015 11:30 PM, "john Karanja via skunkworks" < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

Thanks for replying everyone wifi is back but im sure it will disappear again. One of the errors is that wan plug is unplugged but everything is connected fine or it will say obtaining network parameters its set to obtain ip dynamically and its on dhcp. If you followed diagnosis recommendations from the group members then you would care to respond to their queries. Otherwise don't ask for future help if you are not will to share what the community is asking you for. On 24 Feb 2015 18:33, "john Karanja via skunkworks" < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
