Hello Skunkwork gurus, Just seen Stephen's query on a ".co.ke" email hosting service *(Re: E-mail Hosts (Stephen Munguti)* and my issues are quite similar. We are almost going live (actually are already live) with our website and several issues cropped up in the last two weeks which I need advise on the way forward. Please note, I'm a non-dev and most of the web dev services were and still are being outsourced. 1. Our domain, I got to find out is from *godaddy*. But currently, our server is being hosted by *h**ostgator* ?? I do not know what this means plus I just got the server credentials this week. 2. The webdev we have at the moment keeps on saying the server is down and seems to be using his own. (Free for the first 25 accounts then thereafter youll pay something for extra email addresses) 3: It is entirely possible to have hosting space configured to any space, especially if the dev is reselling and giving you hosting "ya kupima". Wolololo, Thats definately VPS Territory, but do you have the requisite skillset in house to handle a VPN considering you would have to install everything from scratch? That said, you probably are still better off moving elsewhere. Get in touch if you need help, for that $$ you most definately should be getting better. On servers, A friend advised that it's better paying for a dedicated host service such as https://www.servint.net/product/vps/ other than mixing up email sales, domain sales and hosting.Moreso, they advised it's better than having an own dedicated server which can be an overkill (what my webdev wants to move us to https://www.vultr.com/prici ng/dedicatedcloud/ ) ??? (words from a Drupal guy)

Fortuitous conversation here. Had been having problems with my domain over the past year and couldn't receive or send emails because I'd exceeded some limit(apparently, even though it broke when I'd sent less than 10 emails). Tried that zoho thing someone mentioned and less than 10 minutes later I'm sending and receiving again. Thats definately VPS Territory, but do you have the requisite skillset in house to handle a VPN considering you would have to install everything from scratch? That said, you probably are still better off moving elsewhere.
