First thing i would then ask is... any chance that 0.facebook.com could be accidentally configured as a proxy server :-) On Sat, Dec 25, 2010 at 8:17 PM, Bernard Mwagiru <bmwagiru@gmail.com> wrote:

I am not a FB fan, but does "free" mean what I am thinking? That even if I have zero credit I can still access that 0.FB, or 'what does you mean'?;-) PS: And pple like Brainiac and Kioko need to be offline sometimes:-)) -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!

yes free means zero charge data wise. . so all thats consumed is your battery charge. tried it on orange and worked fine. though functionality is reduced e.g cant view pictures . On Sat, Dec 25, 2010 at 8:20 PM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:

It's becoming standard practise for providers esp in europe to designate a few "free" websites. Caution: The links contained in the free site may not be part of the freebies though.

I have a problem with that FREE facebook service... It depends on configuration - if the Operator does not make all data charging entirely free; then 0.facebook.com will *not* be really FREE ! What I mean by that is this - Operators make a lot of money through data handshakes more than actual data - In reality handshake should be free - because you are not getting actual data, but some operators know this - and they capitalize on the handshakes and charge it !!! In some cases - e.g phone chats; 75% of exchanged data is handshake; while actual transmitted message is 15% So please be careful and check your credit before and after entering 0.facebook.com - infact; use 0 credit and see if 0.facebook.com actually goes through... (of cos if you try to view photos or click on one of those links; you will definitely be charged) GET,PUT, PUSH, and PULL etc data requests filtering should all be charged 0
