Orange now say they are on 3G+ with the widest coverage! Have they covered all parts of KE? What is 3G+ ?? But one thing still sucks - data bundles are valid for 30 days, not till you use it all up. Wash, you are right it sucks, but i know when you reload before the expiry of the 30days its carries forward the balance on the bundle. Although there is no freedom there
till you use it all up. What is the justification behind this time limit?

@Wash : The 3g+ is EVDO platform. Its the CDMA version of 3g and is the nearest competitor to Safaricom 3g.

@Wash, LOL! When I tested it a few months ago, it was quite good at night, daytime it would crawl as a snail. But am sure if they put Seacom packets into it, EVDO would become 3g on steriods! At the moment, even if Orange sorted the sat capacity issues, for 1 thousands ksh less than Safaricom ( 2 GB bundles comparison), it makes no sense. Skype and critical apps will not work properly. There is an unspoken rule in telkoms - "thou cannot jump the gun" If you want WCDMA - you must first go through 2G [GSM, or normal CDMA] , though GPRS/Edge - then finally you get 3G. Its the way vendors make money.... Which means - if 4G was available today, and a new operator like "Kain" came along and got a license this month - would they be granted 4G when the others are still fighting to implement 2.5G ?
