Re: [Skunkworks] Installing WinXP on New Machine

You could download the sata drivers and load them with an external floppy drive as you install xp. Its old school but it works. But its easier to get a cd/dvd with sata drivers. Many torrent files are available for the same. Alternatively get a xp disk from another hp computer that has sata. The nitty gritty you can sort out later. (it worked for me on a dell) Or if you feel geeky enough, create your own bootable cd with the sata drivers in it! Think I will go the old skul way...download the drivers and see how it goes. If not, will try the various other alternatives given. Thanks guys. On 21 April 2010 13:46, Alvin Jason Ochieng <ajochola@gmail.com> wrote:

Dude, The problem is SATA drivers. Just d/load and slip-stream the drivers onto ur installation disc and install. Am sure this will solve the issue. No? On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 1:49 PM, Mwariri Mwangi <jmwariri@gmail.com> wrote:
