Hi all, I'm setting up a website that needs to receive online payments in Rwanda. The first option that comes to mind is Moneybookers<http://www.moneybookers.com>. Has anyone on the list used them? @Brian, Paypal does not allow you to receive payment in most African countries, including Rwanda and Kenya. So that is off the question. I have used Moneybookers and its quite reliable only if you are targeting buyers in the US/UK, they shy off it. A good option (Depending on what you are selling) is 2Checkout (www.2co.com) which accepts most of the major payment options (Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Diners etc) and costs only $49 to setup and its very easy to intergrate into any shopping system, infact, most of the industry standard shopping carts already have the 2co module. I&M bank have an online merchant service so if your client has a Nairobi account with them, they can have the website/shopping cart fully connected.

A good option (Depending on what you are selling) is 2Checkout (www.2co.com) which accepts most of the major payment options
(Visa,
Mastercard, Paypal, Diners etc) and costs only $49 to setup and its very easy to intergrate into any shopping system, infact, most of the industry standard shopping carts already have the 2co module.

I have seen the other article. The thing is credibility of a payment gateway is key on a business. Alertpay is good, works really similar to paypal but the fact that it is owned by an Indian in Canada makes lots of US clients shy off. I have done quite some business with Alertpay, infact, I know one of the senior accountants there personally. My advise is still 2co. David.
