Suppose a few interested members came together, contributed money with a view of investing it in startups, it would seem like putting our monies where our mouths are. It would need to be a little bit separated from the Skunkworks mailing list, but somehow still maintain an identity with the forum. And yes, I know that where money is involved, there are 1001 challenges and risks that need to be mitigated, but, many years ago, we bought a server didn't we? So why can't we contribute again, but this time invest in one of our techies? Or, someone remind me the reason why this has not happened yet. Maybe it has been discussed in length at a cocktail I failed to attend.

You have a point Peter, One of the reasons why tech startups have not managed to do well is a lot of angel and capital investors do not believe in apps and our kind of solutions for business, the few who do want to take your idea and make it theirs, the next thing you know you're out of the picture. I want to believe that if we can together and every time one of us has an idea, we pull resources together or a few skunks choose to do this, it the idea is viable and we have the right control mechanisms in place in finance management we could find ourselves owning hundred of companies and helping them to move forward.. This is a brilliant idea, of course it wont come without challenges but then again, the minute you start conversation all the grey areas are looked into. I see o reason skunk works can not start running and supporting our own. following closely Oliver Warm Regards, Oliver Ndegwa TPC -0713777001 - intelligent systems for business leaders On Thu, Sep 1, 2016 at 9:11 AM, Peter Karunyu via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
