I would recommend you go with hostgator...they are among the best providers internationally and have excellent support and uptime. I have used them since 2004 and I have 5 accounts with them. Most of the local hosting providers just use hostgator reseller accounts and so you can just skip the local provider and go directly to hostgator... Actually, I have just seen that eacdirectory actually uses hostgator...since their nameservers are: ns752.websitewelcome.com ['174.132.130.67'] [TTL=86400] ns751.websitewelcome.com ['174.132.130.66'] [TTL=86400] Therefore if you see anything like "xxxxxx.websitewelcome.com", just know it is hostgator. I host with eacdirectory, the few times i've had issues, they sorted me out pretty quick, even calling to confirm if all is well. But, my site aint that busy so I cant confirm how they handle high traffic. I've recommended a few pals to host there, none of them has complained, yet.

I am not 100% sure if they are 100% local, as at the time I was registering, the name "hostgator" came up pretty often.
