Some would call it 'hero routing' if used to curb IPs bombarding network with DoS ... It would suck if the Network Admin decides to stop your movie downloading habits by zeroing in on your IP [?]

6 simultaneously is a little excessive - mabbe the guy should learn the concept of queuing in that software he was using; But this is a habit that most likely points to individuals who download on behalf of the guys who sell movies in town at 50bob; A normal user downloads like 4 movies in a week; or two in a day if they are heavy watchers..
