
Patrols are sluggish. �They take a long time to pick up speed. �It takes 7.9 seconds to hit 80 kph. �Sounds like nothing now but on along trip you will get annoyed at the inability to overtake while you have oncoming traffic. �Patrols are otherwise extremely robust and reliable and at one time dominated the Dakar rally due to this aspect. �They since lost out to Pajero and now Touareg. If you go for the cruiser avoid the Prado unless its the 2010 version or the box prado. �Prado is fast but unstable due to its narrow wheelbase and high ride height. �Its an excellent�off-road�car but poor on road car. � The VX cruiser is your best bet, it does on road and�off-road�quite�well. On road because it has a wide wheelbase so you can corner at high speeds without�worrying�that it will tip over (centre�of gravity and all.} and off road because well its a�land-cruiser. �There is a special done by Richard Hammond of Top gear where he pits all 4*4s together and the�land-cruiser�VX�Amazon�wins�against�the trooper, range rover vogue, pajero etc. �Look it up. �If i find the link i will post it.
