NOOB! hehe. The application in question is Wi-Free unless i'm mistaken. You buy a voucher code, get the software, install it and use a modem without Credit to create a VPN Via international servers and BAM! You're online!! It's about 600/- KSH a month to get online. By far the cheapest option in Kenyan history. And the speeds are not half bad depending on your network. Question here for me would be the legality of piggybacking on a network without using their bandwidth but using their system to log on to the internet via a dislocated set of servers. W. Apologies if I have misled. It was my impression not factual. I will look for a better understanding. The way it works is this: for example, I have internet service A. It runs with a modem and I have to top up to keep it going. With my new VPN Product B, I can connect to Offshore servers and browse. The system however functions as follows: ISP A's Modem needs to have 0 Balance i.e. No credit / bandwidth being bought. You then connect the modem to your Device and connect as you normally would. Once the system analyzes you have no airtime, you will still connect with the exception of not being online. When this is done, you enable your VPN Product B, which takes you online. This is why i figured it was piggybacking and not using actual bandwidth. Correct me if I am wrong, I do not have an in-depth understanding of how the Modem systems work. :D *W.* On Sat, Apr 6, 2013 at 9:46 AM, kanjadennis@gmail.com <kanjadennis@gmail.com
