Hi There Anyone of you who has implemented IP Telephony over a VSAT link in any remote location in Kenya? Thanks -- Jackson Gathoni

I've had one working for about 2 years now, but I had the phone connecting to a remote PBX via VPN. Connection is via SimbaNet's yahclick. IIRC, the bandwidth requirement ( http://www.asteriskguru.com/tools/bandwidth_calculator.php) for voice (duplex channel) is very small that a simple QoS config on a router to guarantee the necessary bandwidth for the simultaneous number of calls is al that's needed. Ok3ch and EMM on this list are experts with VSat, and voice too:-) Mimi I am just yapping kidogo.. On 1 May 2016 at 10:59, Jac via skunkworks <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

iWayAfrica had an inbuilt VOIP solution when I was the guru there, I'm sure it is still there. Works like a charm! Shoot any specific questions you may have ./Ok3ch On Sun, May 1, 2016 at 11:32 AM, Jac via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

yes we (iwayafrica) still have a Voip solution but you have to be our VSAT client tor benefit from it. Any VSat connection can work. Ku , Ka or C band. With Regards, Christine On Sun, May 1, 2016 at 3:51 PM, Okechukwu via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
