Goodbye putty, goodbye Shellguard - welcome MobaXterm

For those who love terminals like I do, I find this one great! http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/download.html I am sure you'll love it. Also, from the terminal, type `busybox --help` and see the host of Unix cmds available. I just discovered this 3 days ago and loving it. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 "I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler."

At face value, I'm impressed. My benchmarks : - Portable software bundles. I try hard to keep off software that has to be installed 'traditionally'. Good Old Putty scores big here - Split/multiple windows : I've had to make use of PuttyCM or Wintabber linked to Putty for this. - Ability to send a single command to multiple windows : I've had to rely on PuttyCM linked to Putty for this. Now here's all that in one tool Let me tinker with it and see what else there is.

I personally don't care about "saved". I can easily type a few keystrokes - `ssh wash@hostname` for FREE :) On 3 July 2013 16:18, Dennis Karigi <dkarigi@gmail.com> wrote:

If you're running Linux you don't need an emulator, the terminal is native. I use iTerm2 for Mac although the native Mac terminal is also very good. The shell I use is zsh but mostly just for kicks - there's no amazing advantage over bash. If I didn't have a Mac I would run Ubuntu 13.04 desktop and if necessary, run Windows 8 inside of VirtualBox. For terminal stuff I wouldn't even go into the Window VM - that would just be for using Microsoft Office and things like that (again, only if necessary). --- Kili.io - OpenStack for Africa: https://angel.co/kili-io Musings: https://twitter.com/varud About Adam: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamcnelson On Wed, Jul 3, 2013 at 4:20 PM, Bwana Lawi <mail2lawi@gmail.com> wrote:

I am sure you'll love it.
Also, from the terminal, type `busybox --help` and see the host of Unix cmds available.
I just discovered this 3 days ago and loving it.

@Kinia, Just open the CLI and type scp and press enter. On the CLI, type `busybox --help` and on pressing return you'll see all the Unix commands available. I am on Windows because M$ gave me Windows 8 at less than $40. I couldn't resist:) On 3 July 2013 19:50, David Kiania | Asentric Consulting Ltd < kianiadee@gmail.com> wrote:

And with `` ... more than a decent UNIX shell ...'' I mean that besides having a UNIX command interpreter <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_shell>that comes along with the git shell on Windows, you also have a neat client to a revision control system. If you may prefer, just refer to it as a versioning file system <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versioning_file_system> (git:// ....). I hope that is clear enough @Collins? Martin.
