In other words, the government's investments in telecommunications are sound, after all? Airtel sacked the last 200 members of staff and outsourced their services to some cheap foreign companies. In these hard economic times where everyone including the USA are talking about job creation, I cant understand why Airtel gets away with creating chronic unemployment in an already heavily unemployed economy. Hmm, that means 2 PRI/E1 cards, and at least KES 50,000 standing (monthly) charges. Do you by any chance work for one of the biggest corporations in KE, like KBL? :-) Most companies I can think of don't do two E1s. Plus, the fact is call rates are almost standard across networks so LCR doesn't make much sense anymore for Corporate/Postpay customers. On the redundancy part, how do you achieve that suppose to deal with it when the fiber is down? For me, I just modify a feature access code to reroute calls to my GSM gateways.
