new Safaricom website

The new look Safaricom website <http://www.safaricom.co.ke> seems easier to navigate though I don't think the overall look and feel is a great improvement. They should have done a better job with the mobile styling to give quick indepth navigation. Also, the move to Joomla from Typo3 is like a step backwards; I say this being a big Joomla fan and user. @Benjamin @Mickey I'm not the one who built it. At least they've hidden the admin section http://www.safaricom.co.ke/administrator/ with an almost cool 404 page that someone got lazy on. On 23 July 2012 15:29, Mickey Mickey <michaelakunga@gmail.com> wrote:

It is subject to all manner of testing. Though its presentation is clean and neat. And the CMS is user-friendly...unlike Typo3

Rendering and adaptation for mobile browsers is a big improvement than previous websites. Bernard On Mon, Jul 23, 2012 at 3:55 PM, pagan monk <paganmonk247365@gmail.com>wrote:

@Gichingiri they were careful to hide the Joomla on a subdomain, fooled you, huh? https://selfcare.safaricom.co.ke/administrator/Exception.action All the same, I noted that it being an online shop, the selfcare subdomain is all SSL secured, plus the UI is nice. Who will be the first to break the shop's virginity? Buy something and tell us the experience. I tried buying the Galaxy Note and got an error that they dont have such a product. @Gich, You know what users (aka "mwananchi wa kawaida") want? Detailed information and ease of access. Aesthetics are normally secondary, and the technology behind is inconsequential:-) I love the site, but I hate that scrolling effect in the shop... -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler.
