Kind of, by searching through IEEE's public OUI listing you can know the manufacturer of the device.

Try this - ping both, check your ARP table after that (or if they're firewalled, check the arp table on your default gateway, they must be talking to it) to figure out their IP addresses. Run a portscanner on those IPs, that will bring you closer home (hopefully). Or simply nbtstat -c if you're running a Windows shop - you might get lucky and see their netbios names. no, I think you can only find vendor: http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/ and make inferences from that. There is no requirement for manufacturers to list which devices get which MACs.

no, I think you can only find vendor: http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/ and make inferences from that.
There is no requirement for manufacturers to list which devices get which MACs.
