Gentlemen, thank you. Interesting read that article, the pharma company spends USD 7.2 billion in just R & D alone. IMHO, So now it is even more clearer to me that developing countries govts are running a two tier propoganda campaigns, one is that they are fully aware of the countries needs and are only interested in foreign ideas/technologies and collabortation to implement under global policies and ideas of PPG. Who funds a PPG is getting more clearer. The second is that of creating notions that citizens become enterprenuers ( brokers really, of any vendor they can make business off ). My main problem is that such policies are failures, though they may produce some "fortune 500" companies that the govt brokers can brag about because its good for business, nothing ever the likes of Silicon Valley. So while our govts want us to "THINK" and produce another Youtube concept and build on such a successful idea, they are using the same argument not to do anything about it. To say that the immature thinking of "build the app first" is really the core of the problem, is only revealing the real depth of the problem. So if it was up to developing countries to send a man to the moon, how would the script go then? Your guess is as good as mine. Also on the lack of confidence in kenyans i.e shoddy contractors etc, this is another self denial to justify the global views. So who is your doctor, nurse, lawyer, architect-- a kenyan or some global individuals? It really about holding up standards, the same standards that international vendors must also comply on. I'm sure there is going to be more and more involvement of giants like IBM, but here is a controversial clip I must post.
